Mark Gates

Mark has had a great year as Vice Captain and is now delighted to be the club's new Captain.  A local business man, Mark has been a member of Andover Golf Club for many years and is looking forward to welcoming you to the club.

Bryon  Tarrant

Bryon Tarrant is Andover Golf Club's new President from April 2006. He has taken over from Tony Broad who has served the club so well in the past 6 years. Bryon has represented the county at all levels, he has a handicap of 4 and has been a member of the club for over 50 years. He was also recently appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors

Lady Captain

A few words from our lady captain Gill Frendo;

I was born and raised in the Andover area. I have three children and two grandchildren, and I live in Andover.  I have worked as a civil servant since1988 and currently have an appointment at DE&S Supply Chain Support in Andover. My job moves to Abbey Wood, Bristol, in March 2010.   I am a Lady Captain of a certain age who started playing golf in 2002, am trying to reduce my handicap, and am very enthusiastic about the game.  I am also dedicated to improving the fortunes of the Andover Golf Club during my time as Lady Captain.  We face considerable challenges in turning our Club around, and I will give it my best shot to do just that!  I hope to find solutions to all the problems you raise with me, and, given time and a bit of luck, I’ll achieve that aim.

Les Watts

Les has recently taken over as the Club secretary.

John Carn deserves a lot of credit for the superb condition of the golf course. He thoroughly deserves all of the credit that he gets and his Head Greenkeeper Chris Sturgess and assistant David King should also be commended for the way in which they maintain the course.

John runs his own engineering company but he would naturally like more time to play golf, with his current handicap being 8.

Jon lives adjacent to the club and has been a member for many years, having previously been on the House committee some time ago. He joined the Board earlier this year and he has a brought a new dimension and insight to the Board meetings.
