Covid-19

Updated Covid-19 Regulations

The latest coronavirus updates (14th Sept) and how it affects us at Andover GC are explained below. Please also understand these guidelines have now become law and penalties and fines will be given to not only organisations, but to members of the public who are failing to follow government rules.
We are putting these rules in place so the Golf Club stays Covid-19 secure which is an obligation we have to staff, members and visitors.
We hope that all members will abide by the new laws and not jeopardise the continued opening of the Golf Club.
Statement from England Golf following the Latest Government update:

OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Playing the game: From Monday 14 September, competitive and social golf can continue to be played in accordance with our existing ‘Play Safe, Stay Safe' guidelines provided on course groupings do not exceed the new legal limit of six people.
Clubhouses: Clubhouses may continue to accommodate multiple social groups provided each individual group is no larger than six people. Individual groups should not join up with others to form gatherings of more than six people and everyone must continue to follow government regulations on social distancing and sanitisation.

Guidelines Updates

On the Course and Outside Areas
From Monday 14th September you cannot gather in groups of six or more people and must continue to maintain social distancing guidelines at all times. This is both on the course and all other outside areas, including the outside tables.
I understand that larger groups within the club can easily exceed six and you are used to gathering outside for drinks etc. From the 14th of September, I am afraid you can’t.
You are allowed to break off into a number of smaller groups of up to six but you cannot merge into one or two large groups. Members of staff and club representatives will monitor and politely ask anybody failing to follow this latest directive to break up into groups of no more than six. Any failures to follow these instructions may result in people being asked to leave the premises for the remainder of the day.

Moving Around the Clubhouse Indoors
From Monday 14th September, it is a legal requirement to wear a mask when moving around in all public areas for people over the age of 11 years. All staff members will be following this rule and will be ensuring all members and visitors to the club to do the same.

Bar and Catering Areas
The Bar is open for indoor seating and the tables have a set layout for up to 4 people. If you have a group up to 6 people, please speak to the staff in the bar to see if it is possible to add a couple of chairs to form a larger table. Face masks are still required when entering the bar area, even if you are only purchasing food or drink to takeaway. The only exception is once at your tables to eat and drink, you may remove them.
Please also follow the one way system that is place. Please enter the bar by the inside door and order at the bar.

Playing Golf
Please could one person from each group check in at the Bar before your scheduled tee time to let us know that you are all present.
This would help with track and trace requirements.

Smoking
Can I please remind all smokers, smoking is only allowed outside the canopy area and please use one of the ashtrays or bins provided to dispose of your cigarette.

Track and Trace
Any member or visitor coming in to use the clubhouse must provide a name and contact details in order to assist with NHS Track and Trace Requests. These details will be temporarily held for a 21-day period. If you are not comfortable providing your name and details please DO NOT ENTER as track and trace is a legal requirement.
It would be helpful if you could make yourself known to the clubhouse staff to ensure this data is recorded.
